  I'm back with pictures!

Hi all, I know I sort of disappeared there for a while. I was out of town for a week. I guess I should have left a note or something ;^) Anyhoo, on the 23rd I went to Wayne Hussey's house to help him work on his latest mega-spaceship. Allow me to (...) (24 years ago, 1-Jan-01, to lugnet.space) !

(...) >(URL) (...) Oh my. That's BIG! I thought those cross-sections that keep reappearing on Brickshelf were some sort of non-Space Castle test. I didn't even think that could be some sort of spaceship. What do you guys DO for a living? Did that (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

(...) Wayne, this red rocketship is stunning. Does she have a name yet? Any other info on her would be greatly appreciated... such as... width of base, diameter of widest section of main body, approximate weight (are you going to be able to move it (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

(...) its current, hollow form, it's suprisingly light. I didn't pick it up, but he did just for show. Of course, with all of the decks he has planned out (oooooo, blueprints) it is going to gain a weight like me durring the holidays. (oooooo, (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: I'm back with pictures!

(...) Label me "Surprised" :-] I have tentatively named it "V-6" as in V-2 from the 40's, but bigger. The diameter of the hull at the widest is 40 studs. All of the hull is 2 studs thick. So far, excluding the deck design, there are only regular (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: I'm back with pictures!

(...) Wow, that is amazing and inspiring. I've thought about making '50s era Flash Gordon type spaceships, though even if I adopted a nauseating every color brick I have I doubt I could make one that big (yet). One thing, I didn't notice an elevator (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

(...) Yeah, me neither. Good thing Wayne has lots of parts. :^) (...) There is no elevator. If you look in this picture: (URL) can see the hatch in the floor behind the officer. There will eventually be a corresponding hatch in the ceiling and (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: I'm back with pictures!

Awesome! I thought I was the only big fan of 50's style spaceships. I'm actually working on something similar (though nowhere near as large) myself - just have to find the parts. (...) Understatement of the year. I can't wait to see more pics as (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)
