Thanks bunches for the pictures and the post Mark!
Wayne, this red rocketship is stunning. Does she have a name yet? Any
other info on her would be greatly appreciated... such as... width of base,
diameter of widest section of main body, approximate weight (are you going
to be able to move it upstairs for display after completion?-it is art!,
range of brick sizes used in external shell, # of different type of elements
used so far, is she based on a specific 50's movie rocketship? . . .

*Second level of the 50's* Does 2nd level refer to deck # or does it refer
to revisiting this time period?
I just went back through all the space posts to 12-21-00. Wayne, you posted
the pictures 12-22-00? Didn't see any reference to them here. Please make
note of it at Lugnet when more are posted. I'd hate to miss them...
# of decks ? Curious about how one is to view the insides . . . hinges?
pivots of some sort? swivel? some smooth plates between decks to make
lifting decks/sections apart easier?

Great bunks! like the the use of the 1x2 grills.
Would this ship have it's own gravity field? I can't remember any 50's
space movies that didn't assume this. That's why all the deck furnishings
only utilize the floor? 50's movies ignored into zero gravity?

| (...) Label me "Surprised" :-] I have tentatively named it "V-6" as in V-2 from the 40's, but bigger. The diameter of the hull at the widest is 40 studs. All of the hull is 2 studs thick. So far, excluding the deck design, there are only regular (...) (24 years ago, 3-Jan-01, to lugnet.space)
