Wow! Dan really is "the Man"! Love his use of the BURPs on the side of the ships, not to mention the UFO rounded hull pieces on the bridge! Really terrific stuff! (...) (24 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

(...) If you get a chance, ask Dan if he was insprired at all by Traveler. I don't know why, but for some reason his carrier design really reminds me of one of the ship designs in GDW's Traveler. (...) This new ship serves as further proof that he (...)          Re: Dan the Man is at it again —Joel Jacobsen
(...) It's just amazing. I can't help but think back to the days I used to play Wing Commander, WC2 and WC3. It looks kind of like the TCS Tiger's Claw from that Origin space combat series.. other than not having any real blue highlights as I recall (...)          Re: Dan the Man is at it again —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) G'day Joel, I'm thinking the same thing. First time I saw it I figured it had to be the TC, may she R.I.P. (bloody stealth fighters!) :] The TC definitely had that amount of green on it, but you're right, it seems to be missing a little blue, (...)      (...) and (...) Kyle - No doubt! It's certainly bigger than anything I think I could make. I've got to get my tail in gear and put the final touches on the star fighter I've been working on and get pictures. Nothing nearly so big but since I've (...)      [Trimmed to lugnet.space] (...) G'day Joel, Yeah ditto for me. I made the mistake of hunting down the Voltron ship I mentioned..., it was called the "Explorer".       In lugnet.space, Kyle D. Jackson writes: <snip> (...) That's a pretty cool looking ship. It kind of, in a cross eyed sort of way, reminds me of the Star Wars frigate..           Re: Dan the Man is at it again —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) Yeah it does, kinda. I forgot how much structure it had underneath the bow. But the Nebulon (not sure if that's right either) is much narrower. Ship looks like it got squashed between two asteroids. The Explorer, being a carrier, is actually (...) (24 years ago, 13-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: Dan the Man is at it again —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) Hehe, G'day Rick. Yeah, I know..., but here's the thing. I'm a pilot from the old guard.          Re: Dan the Man is at it again —Joel Jacobsen
(...) Yeah, that sounds familiar. I played WC2 & 3 on a friend's system I only have WC1 and the special ops expansion. Now that I think back, I don't think I ever actually /finished/ 2 or 3..          Re: Dan the Man is at it again —Dave Johann
(...) cou*castle*gh? Isn't that the theme we space-heads use for spare parts? Many a castle set is butchered to pave the way for new space ships and mechs. That's how it always has been and how it will always be. ;-) -Dave (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.space)
