Re: "new" stuff for the Galactic Inqusition

(...) Dude, who doesn't have a need for speed? And thanks. (...) The torso of this thing just sort of grew and grew as I built it, it's a bit excessive, I agree. I agree on the symbols, I was just thinking the other day, that the shield could do (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: ci maximum

Steven: Thanks for the response. I'm glad you like it! Tony: Thanks for the comments. I'm glad you like the design. No, I don't have a shot of the underside—it's pretty uninteresting so I didn't take one. But the engine compartment is only open in (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: EKBD Freighter 15

(...) Ok, first thing dude, you need more pictures. I'd like to see some pics of the two decks, and of the rest of the interior. And some of the ship from other angles. This is a pretty big ship, and you just don't have enough pics to get a good (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: ci maximum

(...) Very nice looking racer, and nice SNOT work. I may take some specific design elements from this for a racer in my series. I try to put landing gear on all my racers and other functions, but I've never done an engine compartment like that- (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs

Hi Joel, welcome out of the shadow and into the sunny part of space! I’ve only got time to look at the Siberia, as I’m about to leave town for the weekend, but I think you have some good snot going on there. I’ve only got two complaints: First, I (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: EKBD Freighter 15

I had just seen this on Brickshelf just moments before you posted. Freighter 15 is a very well-crafted vessel. I love the front mouth-like opening to the cargo bay and the extending cargo boom. However, the hidden weapon boxes near the front (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: A little introduction and two MOCs

Nice models, Joel! The Siberia is an incredible assemblance of SNOT with just the right amount of greebling. However, I disagree with your assessment of this craft being Pre-PCS or Pre-Pre-Classic Space in that it looks more advanced. It also took (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: "new" stuff for the Galactic Inqusition

First off, these are some great little guys you've got there Dan. I'll start with my favorite, the Rapier. This fighter has a very GDI Orca-esque from Westwood's Command and Conquer series. However, the Rapier has managed to distinguish itself from (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  EKBD Freighter 15

Just a small and defenseless freighter with a few added bonuses. I didn't add a ton of greebling on purpose as to give it the annonomous feeling that so many bulk freighters have. However, anyone who thinks they can just stroll up and snatch a load (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: "new" stuff for the Galactic Inqusition

(...) Thanks for all your comments. What are you thinking about in terms of names? I've been trying to keep the names either biblicly or medieval linked, or in the case of the paladin, both. That's why I named the Sword of Michael the way I did. I (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  NWBrickCon 2004 - Moonbase

Hello again, NWBrickCon is having a special theme for the Moonbase: Halloween. That means we're looking for existing modules fitted with Halloween colors, decorations, mini-figs, etc., as well as new modules with a Halloween theme; crypts, costume (...)   Re: Katydid - concept model

Hi Matt That’s a cute little ship! I especially like the compact look, and the greebeling is really nice. The only thing I can complain about is the way the engine is mounted; it looks too flimsy: Isn’t it possible to remove something inside and (...) (21 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: "new" stuff for the Galactic Inqusition

(...) Hi Daniel, I like the Rapier, very nicely modelled indeed, especially the nacelles. The Paladin is also well modelled but a bit too oddly proportioned, those short stubby legs make him look a bit comical! I also think it'd be a great idea if (...)   Katydid - concept model

Peregrine Katydid model Here's a model based off a few concept sketches that I drew out in class. Some features incorporated include a pivoting engine back, opening cockpit and folding wings... (URL) suggestions? - M. Aaron Hein (21 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

  Cool stuff, Joel!

The Siberia is a wealth and wonder of SNOT work. I echo Peter's comments that it's difficult to tell how and where pieces come together. There's some very clever layering and detailing. I especially like how you added another 1x8 plate on the (...) (21 years ago, 28-Sep-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: "new" stuff for the Galactic Inqusition

(...) I'm not such a big fan of the Paladin, although I understand where you were going with the style. The Rapier, though, that thing is Money. Very cool. (21 years ago, 29-Sep-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
