Re: The Lord of the LEGO returns to .space!

(...) Thanks! (...) This (URL) part> is clipped on to the torso's leg beam. (...) The seats are set up like the seats in the orginal Landspeeder; four of this (URL) part> side by side so the minifigs sit on a half-stud offset. Thanks for the (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: That old set FEELING...

(...) Same feeling here usually. When I started collection in 1998 again, after my dark ages, I started with collecting Town sets. I remember obtaining some early 1980's town sets such as the post office, 6382 fire station and such. All sets I never (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town)

  Re: LRP-38 Screamer

(...) Thanks Rick, I never thought of it that way, but then who would be brave enough to admit being influenced by Rock Raiders? Thanks, George (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Short Haul Space Freighter

Holy cow, this is awesome. It's like a superneat playset, complete with crew, cargo, and loading truck! Visit exotic worlds! Trade cargo! The front end sort of reminds me of the Omega destroyers in Babylon 5. Nice smooth sides that sandwich the (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Build notes (was Re: PP 1444 X, my P-38 contest entry)

(...) Thank you so much, Tony. I did try to approximate the colour of the original, except that white takes the place of the original metallic colour. I know that the (URL) Space> (URL) Hippies> struck fear into some hearts here, but I generally use (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Short Haul Space Freighter

(...) In all seriousness, from the side this reminds me of a cartoon dog with legs waaay to small. But it's a righteously gnarly cartoon dog with legs waaay to small! Beautiful detailing and neat play features. Does the side ramp have hinges at its (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: AP-3811 is my entry for the P-38 contest

(...) Welcome to .space! (...) Yes, it seems a little iffy for the contest, but I'm really glad you posted it. This thing is amazing! The overall look is great, with all kinds of neat details. And your usage of parts is incredible- I look at the (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Hover Isetta

(...) This is one of the strangest things I've ever seen, and I feel compelled to make one (though I don't think I could dupe the color scheme). Thanks for posting a ton of construction pics! And the flat nose area seems like a perfect place to (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Short Haul Space Freighter

Hi all, Well, as promised I've finally got around to finishing and photographing my latest moc. It's a small freighter used primarily on the Earth/Moon run. (URL) I deliberately built this incorporating several .space no-no's: It's boxy. I tried to (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

  Re: Great background images found

(...) Excellent. What a great resource. I'll definitely have to play with these when I get some spare time. Thanks for posting it! J (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

  Re: Space Cargo Container Standard?

(...) While this is true, the LEGO design we have here is similar to both. It's similar to cargo containers, but has attachment points for railroad wheels between the cars (which is similar to semi trailers that have attachment points for railroad (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: PP 1444 X, my P-38 contest entry

(...) (snipage) (...) Nice! For all the reasons mentioned already, and the much underused yellow/white colours scheme. The brick wings vs. the traditional plate ones are a nice departure too. I get a real retro feel from this one....good stuff. -Gil (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: AP-3811 is my entry for the P-38 contest

(...) A few of us spotted this a couple days back in chat Joeseph...it has a great 'fusion' feel to it....a little Matrix, a little Star Wars a little something all it's own. It's interesting that you use only the SW sets in multiples to create your (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Crane

(...) Thanks! (...) that load/unloads the containers automatically, completely run by RCXs.   Great background images found

Hi, I found a great source of background images: (URL) Check it out, there are high quality pictures of the moon, earth, mars, of nebulae, etc. These pictures are not big enough for being printed, but they do fine for web publishing. If you use a (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish.photography, FTX)

Re: AP-3811 is my entry for the P-38 contest

(...) Thanks for your kind reply Allister, it really means something to read a feedback of some-sort.. That's what prevented many fellow FBTB members to post around here.. But honestly, Lugnet was my first LEGO home, but it's intimidating huge size (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Hover Isetta

(...) Thanks Paul. Hmmmm I didn't think about having a slopped front part, mainly because I started this MOC by making the engine pod, and I wanted to keep that flatness between them. I think using two wedges like this one could be nice : (URL) But (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Hover Isetta

(...) Very cute. I like the use of the domes inside the engine, and the placement of the chrome macaroni to follow the engine shape. I wonder whether it would look a bit sleeker, though, if it was sloped from the driver compartment down to the (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: AP-3811 is my entry for the P-38 contest

(...) Hi Joseph. I'm really glad to see you posting here. I've been admiring your models on brickshelf for a few weeks now, and didn't know who this myserious 'darkkazmo' was. You've got a nice alien/organic look going there unlike anything I've (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)
