  Re: Neptune's Moon Lagoon

(...) I think it was the only major MOC that I worked on for about two months straight, though I did complete at least two small Toa-based MOCs. The gags just kind of flowed on their own, and about half of them were inspired by others as I added (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle

(...) Got EBKD! (say it fast with a miniscule pause before the KD part;-) (...) Ah, yes, the ever-insidious threat of peace. I do think those 'wings' are just calling out for some decorative 'painting' on their vast monochromatic expanse... but that (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: March CoLUG Meeting: Castle vs Space...

In lugnet.loc.us.co, Soren Roberts wrote: <snipo> (...) Probably napping on the couch :-) By the time I was through running errands and realized what time it was, it was too late to come for the meeting. I won't miss the next meeting though. I'm (...)   Re: Dalek Tank

(...) I really like the sloped lower skirt! He's a little too tall though. Daleks are shorter than average sized people. (URL) The tank is Daleky in that it is mean looking yet has full handicapped access - no stairs or ladders. ;-) The BBC wasn't (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Varial Gyrofighter and Moonhopper

These MOCs are a bit small, I know. I actually do build a lot of small spacecraft, but up until recently I hadn't photographed them. The Gyrofighter came about in micro scale first, as I'd built a stack of them for my capital ships. I wanted to (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Re: P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

Hey Ryan, very cool P-38 there! The shape is excellent and very accurate for the Cylon Raider. One suggestion would be a change of canopy. Although the one you used is more P-38 like, take a look at this one. Might help to keep the shape of Raider (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: 2001 Teaser MOC

Upon seeing the picture, the MOC was easily identified. I look forward to seeing the completed MOC. (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Dalek Tank

(...) Thanks. I tried a few different things for the eyestalk, but I liked the way the peg gave it a big oversized eye with a pupil so you know when the Dalek is looking at you and getting ready to "EXTERMINATE!". K (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

French schleim (was Re: Small, Red and Fast.)

(...) Hi JP, I'm glad you cleared that up. I looked up 'crampon' and got worried in the context of snot, and then I realized it was about the studs. I think 'morve' is perfect, not just because it is snot/schleim, but because it leads to (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

  Re: Dalek Tank

(...) It doesn't suggest "Dalek" to me, but I think it's very cool nonetheless. Your Dalek model is very inspirational, though - I couldn't resist trying out my own variation (minus a suction cup - oops!): (URL) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

(...) Obviously good advice combined with da skillz to make this come together so well. I could see the danger of this being the split tail on the back looking 'tacked on', but with blending both the slopes and wing elements together, you've created (...)   Re: The P-38 Theme Hoverbike

(...) Too. Dang. Funny. I can just hear Jr. screamin' at Pop that he can't come in have way thru a custom and start telling him what to do. Great stuff as per usual Jamie. -G (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: P-38 Entry: C--38 Cylon Lightning

(...) Ryan, you've obviously put what you've learnt to good use because your use of slopes and SNOT to make curves on this fighter is just excellent. If I had any criticisms it would be that you didn't seem to use any 3x12 wedge slopes! If not, I (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle

(...) Good stuff Lenny! I think the design of the bridge is perfect for the EB theme...very angular and emminently 'practical'...and the permanent frown of the front viewport is sufficiently menacing. The underside use of SNOT greebling is excellent (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: EBKD Zhukov Class Assault Shuttle

(...) Nice work Lenny. I'm not a fan of the space wheels as nozzles, but the fins and angle plates give the engine a great look. The placement of the guns on the wing pylons plays with my brain, though - I would have preferred them being placed (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: StarScoot

(...) Oooooh so cute, well done. The way you've used the different parts on the sides to give a mix of winglets, curves and bulges is so eye-catching, I can hardly stop looking at it!   Re: StarScoot

What I like most is that everytime I think I've figured out which direction your bricks are generally oriented, they pull a 90 or 180 and start off in a new direction. (...)
