Here I present Billy Bob, with his 3002 BricksWagon™ Scarab outfitted for crystal prospecting:

When Billy Bob received his inheritance, he decided to use it to move to New Seattle and try his hand at some prospecting. He purchased the stylish and economical Scarab, and has had good fortune in mining in the past year.

I’ve finally gotten around to using those curvy windshields that have been gathering sawdust. I like the way they look, but they sure aren’t the easiest parts to use if you want a canopy that opens up. I did this ship a couple of weeks ago, and it was my first experience with the frustration of using these things. I’ve done a couple more ships using these parts since then, and I’m still annoyed at the design of this part. Anyway, I’ll post the others as soon as I can- though it will likely be after BrickFest PDX.

Tony, I like the curvy, look - true to the "prototype." My favorite touches are the canopy props. Very cool how you were able to fit a realistic feature into a small space. James Wilson Dallas, TX (20 years ago, 10-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Well done Tony. It's so buggy (in a good way) that I almost swatted it ;-) That cargo bay is ingenious. Way to solve that canopy 'problem'. Great details, play value and a refreshing colour scheme. Peace and bugs, Professor Whateverly (URL) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Well, you certainly came up with an elegant solution. Any of these new canopy pieces without built in hinge attachments pose problems. Hopefully those promising new Alpha Team canopies will be readily hinged. (...) It's all part of the fun of (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Between the canopy and the cargo area, you've built a nifty little winner there. Can't wait to see what you come up with next! TRS (20 years ago, 11-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
