Hi all,
I would like to present this small fighter for your viewing pleasure.
|
i like the look of this one
particularly the metallic looking shields
around the rear thrusters.

Thanks. Those cowlings, along with the arrangement of the canopy and chest
pieces were the seed points of this model.

would like some
pics of how the triangle of thrusters affixes
to the rest of the ship

Its not really very complicated. The bricks behind the pilot hold a 2x2-2x2
bracket. Attached to that, from front to rear is a 4x4 round (to which the foils
are attached), a layer of plates and then the thrusters. The thrusters use hinge
bricks in a standard equilateral triangle. Only the top thruster is studded, and
that attaches to the plates. The other two are tiled. The thrusers themselves
are on 2x4 plates with holes through which the cowling ataches. The only cunning
trick I employed was to turn the central cone around: Its on a 4 long axle
which is jammed into the space between the hinge bricks with a small tyre to
hold it in place.

dont like the fact that the canopy is open-air
but hey, no biggie
|
I would have liked to seal it myself, but the part doesnt lend itself very well
to that.
Cheers,
Allister
