    Prototype Destroyer —Steve Hickman
Hello all, DD-Inferno (URL) is a destroyer class warship designed in the original Space Police color scheme. I tried to base it closely on modern naval design. Actually I began with the intention of building a frigate class vessel, but it turned out (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Prototype Destroyer —John Henry Kruer
That is awesome. This is a really great themed creation. There are so many great things about this. But my particullar favorites are the jagged bits in the front, the way you used the windshields for the bridge, and all the little greeblie stuff. (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

How do you guys build that big. I'd run out of ideas a quarter of the way down. Really impressive. I miss the space police theme that is my all time favorite space theme. Good work.-James (21 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

The ISD next to it is 39 inches or a little over 3 feet. So using that as a guide I would say it is about 4.5 (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) oops. totally missed that picture. (URL) was comparing it in the pic next to the couch (but obviously a love seat). 4.5 ft x 12 = 54 inches 54 in / 10 = 5.4 baseplate lengths 5.4 bl x 32 = ~173 studs. okay, so I was an entire baseplate short.      (...) Actually, you weren't too far off, it comes in at 248 studs in length, a little over 255 if you count the cannons at the very tip of the bow. -Steve (21 years ago, 21-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

I agree with Leonard (I think it was Leonard) about maybe trying to add a little more trans-red to make it more SP1. But besides that, this model has a lot of (...)    (...) Definitely a good start for said fleet--if the ships look like this, Blacktron won't have a prayer. XD Any chance of a picture showing this next to a 6986?         Re: Prototype Destroyer —Steve Hickman
Thanks for the praise, everyone. A few thoughts I neglected to mention earlier. I had a plan to take a picture of the inferno with the rest of my Space Police sets (One Mission Commander, 3 SP Strikers, and 3 GPK) but I ran out of time. When I get (...)
