Another thing I'd add:
Categories by size or piece count. A small creation can be just as
technically interesting as a large one, though larger ones are usually more
impressive just because there are more places to put details. I'd like to
see small elegant designs having a chance.
Two categories would probably be enough, though you could do more. You
might ask the folks who have experience building these where the cutoff
point(s) should be.

| With all these motorbike entries, maybe it's time for a contest, like we had with the HoverThings. I'm not really interested in making motorbikes, so there wouldn't be a conflict of interest if I were to host the contest. Anyone interested? Here's (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.space)
