Re: Retro Rocket - (Warning....Bonktron related post)

Fire away? You're kidding, right? Janey, I think I'm in love! This is beautiful. Nice enough to get me to stare at it and drool...and there's precious few things that can make me do that! :) Seriously, this is one creation with some lovely curves. (...)   Re: New 2006 space/mecha sets

(...) Danny, The smaller dinos are a single molded part. Starting with sets in the $10 range, the dinos are multiple parts with racheting click hinge connections. Once these parts become feasable to buy in bulk, THEN Bryce will consider using them. (...) (19 years ago, 5-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New 2006 space/mecha sets

Yep. Spotted 7704 and 7705 in two TRUs in the past two days. Sadly, I think these are the only two sets being stocked. $19.99 and $29.99 respectively. -Dave (19 years ago, 5-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Retro Rocket - (Warning....Bonktron related post)

STARTS with a "disclaimer".... This is not a troll, this is not about some secret contest, I am NOT trying to push buttons, or start a flame war. This post is nothing but MY first ship(1), and aside from a few Lost in Space Mocs... I really know (...) (19 years ago, 5-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  Pictures from Legoworld

I've finally organised my pictures from Legoworld, back in October. Brikshelf link is this once moderated: (URL) Some previews, starting with my model of the actual Royal Train - the train and the windmill layout all had to fit in airline luggage: (...)   Re: Voidfighter Entry

(...) I was happy to see another creation from you 'cuz I love your unique greebling style. I see this time you managed to work in a minifig camera--sweet! I like how the round click hinge parts pick up the look of the nested 2x2 radar dishes. What (...) (19 years ago, 4-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Delta - another infantry support bot

During the building period of a rather big Mecha (coming soon) i got stuck and fustrated. So I had to have a fast success to build me up again. This is the whole story behind Delta.   Re: New 2006 space/mecha sets

The story line is here: (URL) "but the robots revolted..." Why do the humans always spin it this way. The robots were oppressed. They just wanted freedom. Their human masters were irrational and decadent. I'm rooting for the robots. Look at their (...) (19 years ago, 4-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New 2006 space/mecha sets

Hmm - cant get those in the uk on S@H - they are still focussing on starwars and the Dino 2010 range. With this Dino 2010 range - are the dinosours all one moulded peice, or are there seperate peices that might lend to some interesting creations (...)   New 2006 space/mecha sets

I'm surprised no one pointed these out yet. (URL) Saw 7705 in Toys 'R' Us as well. These things look like pretty sweet parts sets for space and mecha. Kind of bummer those freaky hair anime figs don't have helments though. The robot figs look really (...) (19 years ago, 4-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !

Former space part back in production

I gave this year's advent calendar to my boys. Today there was a part I had never seen before and I looked it up on peron. It's the part'Minifig Jet-Pack with Stud on Front' (4736). It was included in space sets in the late 80s and early 90s. Seeing (...) (19 years ago, 3-Dec-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Ice Blast

(...) Love the nacelles, and the sand-blue color scheme. Such a smooth shape overall. Great use of the click-rotation-hinges as details. I like the idea of working bionicle-style parts into regular-brick builts MOCs, but I feel like the transition (...) (19 years ago, 2-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Voidfighter Entry

(...) Thanks Bram. I agree with you about the wings. Now that I go back and look at it, they have much too little detail in comparison with the body. However, they are already stretched structurally and frequently fall off, and more weight would not (...) (19 years ago, 2-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Wanted: Assistant .space Curator

Hello everybody. I've been around (altho I don't post much - I tend to do a lot of spotlighting), but have had less time recently for curatory type stuff. I'm in grad school now, plus work and some other projects. I don't think I've been able to be (...) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: Ultrlight Dropship: Hookship

(...) Thanks very much for your comments Mladen. I'm glad you see it as a Skycrane as that is the exact intention I had for it. Glad you like the renderings too, I've been playing around a lot at getting good rendering settings lately so I'm pleased (...) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Ultrlight Dropship: Hookship

(...) What an awesome little ship! It definitely conveys what you were aiming for; it has that Skycrane look. I'd love to see what other kinds of "packages" it can carry. I also have to commend you for the excellent renderings. The only thing that (...) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Ultrlight Dropship: Hookship

The Hookship is an ultralight dropship popular with civilian and military organisations.   yet another Voidfighter

This was going to be my entry into the FBTB voidfighter contest, but since whoever is resposible for sending our account activation emails has apparently dropped off the twig, I guess it's not, and I might as well just post it here. I went for a (...) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Voidfighter Entry

(...) The shape of the fuselage and the greebling are fantastic! The wings look a bit too flat, which is exacerbated by the very straight trailing edge. The wedge plates on top near the fuselage are a good start at adding some shape to the wings, (...) (19 years ago, 30-Nov-05, to lugnet.space)
