Re: PCS Medical Ship LL-M1 "Doulos"

(...) I think they're from one of the snow boarding sets. I saw the same pieces being cleverly used in the Moonbase at BrickFest this year, too. Very smart! Chris is my hero! "LEGOS!" -Greg (19 years ago, 9-Oct-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: PCS Medical Ship LL-M1 "Doulos"

Simply Awsome! A wonderful MOC... and an incredible use of the hockey pieces(?)... This has a wonderful over all 'complete feel' to it which really makes the MOC. The colour scheme is also great. I particularly like the shape (though it is so (...) (19 years ago, 8-Oct-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: PCS Medical Ship LL-M1 "Doulos"

(...) Chris, Beautiful! I really don't quite know what I can say to do it justice except to drool. One question about your staff - wouldn't the ship also benefit from having a physician aboard? -Jeff (19 years ago, 8-Oct-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Improved Space Combat Fighter

Hello, all! Mostly a lurker, life's been busy -- a career position at a busy hospital in the Baltimore area? Maybe, if I'm lucky. Odd, then, that I'm building military MOCs. Well. Introducing the UIW's Improved Combat Superiority Fightercraft: (I (...) (19 years ago, 8-Oct-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC Teaser

Hey Dave! Thanks for the feedback! I hadn't measured it, but according to my Stanley Leverlock it's almost two feet long. I purposely made the whole picture black and white (not just the tail) because I wanted the image to have the atmosphere of (...) (19 years ago, 4-Oct-05, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC Teaser

(...) Yowza, that's a nifty ship. I tried to count but my eyes went buggy--what are the dimensions? And what color is the tail? A glitch on my monitor made the whole thing look black and white... Nice teaser, though--when do we see the rest? Dave! (19 years ago, 4-Oct-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: A Piece To Cry Over

Hi Dave, You may have some success getting the scratches to mellow out using some Liquid Lense. It's available online or at some Walgreens stores. I've cleaned up some pretty mucked up pieces using this product. You'd be surprised how good you can (...) (19 years ago, 3-Oct-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: A Piece To Cry Over

You might be able to polish it out with a polishing kit sold for scale modelers to fix scratches in clear parts and rub out paint. It's basically a series of progressively-finer grits and polishing compounds. It depends on how deep the scratches (...) (19 years ago, 2-Oct-05, to lugnet.space)

Re: Search for a Test Pilot...

Now this one I liked a lot! Good jokes, even some subtle ones (Lobot's was the best). In the first two panels I really liked how the colors of the ship begin to appear as the new parts arrive. Very groovy! Looking forward to strips like this one. (...) (19 years ago, 1-Oct-05, to lugnet.space)

  MOC Teaser

(...) The fact that you got it as clean as you did astounds me! Great job! When I used to have a scratched CD that wouldn't play, sometimes I buffed out the scratch with, of all things, car wax--I mean it didn't work so waht 's the harm? I had about (...) (19 years ago, 1-Oct-05, to lugnet.space)
