  Re: MOC Sparrow

(...) Reminds me a lot of the Playstation game Wip3out. Very cool. ~Grand Admiral (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Cougar X-5

Well, I'm nearing the end of my blitz of new MOCs. This is one of my favorites. I don't have enough pieces to build a really good large mech, so I stay small. I was inspired by another mech I saw on brickshelf, but I can't find it at the moment. (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Fad? Multi-Level Moonbase

(...) I agree with Fred's sentiments on this. I have thought about building more modules myself, but time is not likely to allow more than one more out of me before BrickFest. My concept for my next one will allow for at least three levels, maybe (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

SNEAK PEEK (was Re: I'd drop a pin...)

(...) Thanks Mike! I really like the ships in your squad. Here's a sneak peek at the model I'm building: (URL) of the LEGO (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC Sparrow

Hey, thanks for the comments, Nathan. Yeah, there is a lot of grey. I usually shape things and figure out the framework with one color and then work other colors into it. I may fiddle with the color scheme yet. And the intake piece is from 8465. (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Arrowhead

(...) Awesome MOC! I love the dark red/white color scheme and the shape very unique! Keep building, Nathan Lord of the LEGO (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Fad? Multi-Level Moonbase

Hi Folks- Let me begin by saying that I'm a moonbase novice. I've yet to create a module, so feel free to disregard the following comments until you feel that I've been around the block enough... However, one of the limitations of the Moonbase (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC Sparrow

(...) Hey, that's a cool ship! The color scheme is nice, but there is to much gray, IMHO. I like the shape, and it does look a bit like the Jedi Starfighter. Where did you get those jet intakes on either side of the cockpit? Are they a Belville (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC Sparrow

Hey, glad you guys like it. That's funny about the color scheme, because I originally started with grey with green highlights. I found I didn't have enough green to do the trim in a way I liked, so I pulled it apart and worked with what little blue (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Arrowhead

Doh! Forgot to post to MOC announce. Also, forgive me if I screwed up any space terms in my explanation about what the ship does. -Stefan- (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Arrowhead

Howdy y'all, Due to the generosity of my friends and a nice draft, I ended up with a surplus of dk. red and so set out to build something with it. The result: a ship purpose-built to bring down capital ships. It would operate in squadrons of course, (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

  Re: MOC Sparrow

Very cool! The color scheme is nice, and the engine design is ultra-spiffy. Where did you get the ultra-long curved wedges in lt. gray? Are those from the AT-TE? Sweet model. -Stefan- (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: I'd drop a pin, but it might be too much for our ears.

(...) Looks intriguing. What Classic Space set is it based on, if any? Mark M. (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Research Ship Magellan

No, crew of 5, and those are really all the interior shots you can get, unless I remove the port hull... Yeah, I kinda built it with a small jet in mind. Especially when I found those red windows! The cockpit was taken from another failed design, (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Fad?

What would really be fun about the standard ... someone could build a Moonbase "SUV" dealership, with these huge over-sized craft. There could be a bunch of folks standing around outside protesting the craft "WHERE WILL YOU PARK?" or "MARTIAN* (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Mecha: J-88 Firebrand

When I was a kid, I had this book about, I think, Aztec gods ... anyway, the main character goes on a quest, and meets all these weird gods of lightning and what have you ... anyway, the reason I mention that ... that's what it reminds me of! Dude, (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC Sparrow

(...) VERY sleek & fast looking. I love the gray & blue color scheme (my fave for space creations) the engine detail is very maneuverable looking-easily converted to a fast strike intercept fighter, although i much prefer the non-military "civilian (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Research Ship Magellan

I like it! Especially the wings at the back, I dunno why, kind of reminds me of an oversized airplane with undersized wings .... I wish you had more pics, including more interior shots. Is it just a crew of one ... ? (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: I'd drop a pin, but it might be too much for our ears.

(...) Slower? Slower! I just posted about my WIP - USS Okazaki. Find the thread, read, give feedback & thoughts. :) Jeff Benson jbenso1@towson.edu (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: I'd drop a pin, but it might be too much for our ears.

(...) Not just you. I think all of Lugnet has been just a tad slower during the past week or so. Still, we can't complain. I think .space is still relatively more active than most groups (excepting .trains, .robotics, and .cad of course, oh and (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)
