Re: MOC inspired by Jet Black's Hammerhead in Cowboy Bebop

Now that's a wicked cool MONO pod design. I may be tempted to rebuild the Hammerhead using a MONO pod like that. Jason (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

That's cool. I don't know about the Star Wars story part (having never seen Star Wars) but I must say that it looks cool. It's a very unorthodox design that yet works well for it's intended purpose. All the details, and the use of slopes and tiles (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: MOC inspired by Jet Black's Hammerhead in Cowboy Bebop

Thanks for the warning on the lights. When I was putting them on I was thinking "I should get up and look up the proper side to put each one on.", but I'm lazy so I didn't. Since I apparantly got them on the wrong side I'll switch them. And on the (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Ghato Heavy Cargo Ship

Very cool. You've conveyed the feel of a big-boned cargo ship well. I like how you made it boxy but not too boxy. The interioir is neat- its rare to see a large cargo area like that. I particullarly like the thing with the multi-colored cylinders on (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC inspired by Jet Black's Hammerhead in Cowboy Bebop

Wow, that's cool. I don't know about the ship in question, (or the TV show in question, for that matter) but I really like the smooth angles and slopes on this. The tapered front sloping to the cockpit is done very nicely, and I like the little claw (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Jonathan Mizner also has a very nice MONO Pod design: (URL) love it. Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Moonbase at BricksWest?

I am, but I'm more of a .space lurker now than anything. I've been saying for a long time I want to get back into space building, but I've yet to put my money where my mouth is. That's cause I've yet to get money :-\ -Tim (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Ghato Heavy Cargo Ship

(...) your welcome (...) it's in one of those "'ll get to it as soon as I ...." stages at the moment. I'm also working on some non-space moc's that I would like to get finished soon. argh, it never rains, it pours I'm sure inspiration will hit, (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) great swept back like a tail, but I have to say the whole claw thing doesn't do much for me. Then again, I've never seen the show... Anyway, looks nice! -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (PS- If you don't want a smackdown from Muffin Head, you (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: new MOC

(...) Cool ship- as others have mentioned, the triangle shape is done well. A couple of years ago, I saw a (live action) movie called Space Truckers with big space tugs pulling long chains of cargo pods. The idea sounds similar to your description (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

(...) Hey, Bib- rockin' ride! I couldn't quite figure out what was going on in the landed configuration, but when I saw the flight config it all made sense. Very cool design! -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Thankye sir. Bib may just have the Krayt stored away should his arrangments with Jabba turn out to be less than favorable. How long can you find job satisfaction in feeding frogs to a giant worm? ;) Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Many thanks Matt! My 2 favorite places in the SW lore are Tatooine and Hoth, so this one just had to be done. All the Tatooine vehicles seem either squat and bulking or very frail and wispy....almost like the vegetation...stout cacti or desert (...)   Re: Bib Fortuna's drift skimmer - The Krayt

Bey Bib, That's a sure strange ship of yours. It's the sort of thing that looks super interesting, but an animation of it in flight (i mean, done like ILM quality) would look super-amazing. Great idea on getting Toradoch Industries to make it for (...) (22 years ago, 5-Feb-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars)
