  Re: Pods

It's the natural progression of any fad. It's huge for a while, then everybody builds one, a majority of the design ideas get used up, and then that's the end of it. The hoverships and futurebikes did it before that, and I'm sure something will come (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Pods

just wondering if the Pod craze died naturally or did its extension into absurdity kill it? something to think about, i guess meanwhile, i'm wracking my brain trying to think of some new and elegant (and tasteful) alterations of the pod idea i have (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: CAD-only Moonbase Project?

Well, I know I'd gladly build things for it. I don't know what it takes to maintain something, so I don't know if I'd be any good at that, or if that job is even open anymore. Feel free to contact me about it a professorhora@icqmail.com -- (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: construction pics

(...) For (mostly) cranes I have various stuff here (URL) and here (2 URLs) (Tobbe's post) and Demag/Terex also have downloadable PDF specs for their cranes, many of which have great line drawings of the machines. HTH ROSCO (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Space legends, my thoughts...

(...) I think 6973 was a great space set. Maybe not the greatest, but definitely in the top 5. The color scheme rankles, but it has a very high playability factor. I bought it 5 years ago when it was new and I was in my mid-20's and loved it. Lots (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Space legends, my thoughts...

(...) LEGO has said (through the voice of Brad Justus) that there is no contractual restriction in the Star Wars license; it's just good marketing sense to not detract from the Star Wars market share by introducing competing sets. The cost of (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Space legends, my thoughts...

(...) Classic Space is great in general, but there are exceptions. Nothing you could put in a Walking Astro Grappler would make it *not* look crap. That's probably the lamest set LEGO ever made, not counting the Time Twisters line I suppose. But I (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.dear-lego)

  good news (i guess)

howD all, well, having done a budget for next year up until May, it looks like things will be getting better for me and the fam. So, I'll be bringing some of my lego back to the apt for stress relief reasons :-D Since all my white and black are (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: PE-1 Duster (seed part)

(...) another nice one Gil i know everyone else has said so, but here's a rousing "me too" particularly the shadow looks cool and if you turned the cockpit around the ship could fly the other direction and it would still look cool :-) -paul (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: PE-1 Duster (seed part)

(...) oh ja, Seed is perfect conjures up the Golden Era sci-fi "Space Seed" ambience something that starts small and bursts forth into much creative fruit (which turns all humans into zombies of course) :-D -paul (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: PE-1 Duster (seed part)

(...) heh, glad to see my hoverthing contest had a positive impact (hoping you are actually talking about that one) although maybe the reason there were so many cool hoverthings is cuz YOU adrian made so many of them :-D -paul (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

i am definitely not trying to be a butt, i'm just waaay too swamped to use jon's format for this list of ideas ( :-( ) i don't think it should be so much an area for links to 'the greatest' stuff, but rather a pseudo history and faq of the community (...)   Re: My first photoshop picture

Ah ha! A topic I something about! First which edition of Photoshop are you using? Ok step one: Light it up. I aways bathe the moc's in a bunch light. It is a good idea to have a *difused spotlight* to one side to give a sense of a light source. In (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)
