(...) postal bots are! (...) like your weapons they have a realistic look to them. However, if it is built to fight its light armament would not fare to well against your "big ole laser cannon bot". :) (...) \\//,DedmanWalkin (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC: NCF-Starphyther

Hey Matt! Nice name. :) I'm glad you enjoy it! I'll make a note to do my best to preserve the cockpit design as un-modified as possable with these modifications I'm doing -- the nose folding down and such, and the modularity. Thanks, and I'll render (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC: NCF-Starphyther

(...) Hmm...that's a rather interesting model. Nice use of guard rails for the sides, as always, definitely like the sleek aerdynamic look complimented with the 4 x 7 cockpit parts. Need a few more pics, though. Great model! <<_Matt Hein_>> Fellow (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

(...) Show us some pictures. :) I've always wondered what other builder's mistakes are like. -JHK (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Starship Hatch

Wow, very nice. The droid arms work very well for this type of motion, and the overall look is very cool. Defenintly a good idea. Plus, you could try it for single doors, right? Even the back looks spacey. ;-) Very nice! -JHK p.s. Who's the John (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

Mail truck, Skystreak, and my 2002 bot odyssey

Hello all, I've finished a few new MOCs, and after I wrestled with the computor for a few hours, they are finally up. A futuristic mail truck: (URL) Skystreak: (URL) my December 2002 Bot Odyssey: (thanks for the idea, Jon!) (URL) and don't be afraid (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC: NCF-Starphyther

Thanks, Chris! As I said to Gil, I designed it based on the Berinacie AtkCraft, which was almost exactly like a helicopter with the rotors taken off and two directional-thrust ports added. In regard to the color-scheme, I was trying to express how (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Starship Hatch

This is really great Travis. I waited to have a better look at the mechanism before responding. The droid arms are an excellent addition -they give it almost a submarine look, secure as they pull the unit tight. Todd's Sighthound is still one of my (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: PE-1 Duster (seed part)

Thanks Chris! Oh yeah...you wouldn't want to be trading a lot of paint in this one. Basically hooking your star to one big plasma cuisineart and engine. Haven't 'seen' you around in a bit...hope that is soon to change! Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: PE-1 Duster (seed part)

Weird is good! Many thanks Jon...they are fun to do. When I set out to do this one, I wanted it to look a little different from the other speeders I've done. As a result, I made the central beam (using the seed part) to be the ground parallel (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

Ha! That's great! I never even noticed it! It kinda looks like the Rebel symbol in the first shot. May your holidays be chromey :) Thanks! -Gil (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: MOC: PE-1 Duster (seed part)

My first Bricklink purchase was about the same time I signed on to Lugnet...last March. I came across a large lot of grey slopes, bricks and panels that the seller was letting go at a fantastic price. Along with the SW purchases, the levels have (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Starship Hatch

(...) thank you, when I started I really wanted to avoid it becoming to bulky. although a bulky version might be useful for some models.. Might look at that (...) The first one I built was a single door. but I wanted to make it wider for an entry (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Starship Hatch

(...) Thanks I had been trying to build a cool hatch for some time that didn't require a space for the door to swing open, although this one does have some swing space. The gunship model too proved to be a bit of a creative influence with those rear (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Starship Hatch

(...) Thanks for you kind words Jon. The arms are really where I started with the whole model. they look very similar to the hinge brace that the train doors I observed had. the rest was just figuring out how it would work exactly. Trav (-|-) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Something unusual(?)

Dear all, Here is some light entertainment: (URL) aware that the video file linked by the image is a 6 mb Divx 4 AVI) I'll post some notes on how I made it soon - for now enjoy the movie!   Re: MOC: PE-1 Duster (seed part)

(...) I've gotta agree about the dark grey. I really like that colour, but, as so often happens, I only have a limited supply of it, but enough for small craft. The UCS TIE Interceptor I've got coming for Christmas should boost my supply nicely. I (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Starship Hatch

(...) Well that is pretty darn cool! I like how basically simple it is, even though it creates a complex motion (compared to the traditional Lego hinge designs we use more often). Any chance we can get a view of the back side of the doors (to better (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Starship Hatch

(...) Ooo. Very nice. I've been casually pondering how to make a door with a similar opening action, but all my ideas turned out far too bulky. Yours is a compact and very elegant design. I think I can find a use for it. If I wore a hat, I'd be (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)
