  About Scout programming

Hi I have a light-seeker NQC program for RCX, I want to port for Scout, does anyone know how to do it? Then does Scout use external light sensor? BR Zhengrong (26 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc, lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Re: Scout Programming

(...) The main challenge with this is that the light sensor is passive only. (i.e. there is no red led to create the reflected light.) You can, however, use the IR transmit to bound some light down towards it and cause the same effect. If you need (...) (26 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Scout Programming

Hi Dean , I'm using NQC too . I'm trying to make a line tracker but I'm having some dificulties with measuring the light variations . I have put the Scout mounted with the light sensor pointing to the floor in order to sense the variations. Have you (...) (26 years ago, 21-Jun-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Programming The Scout

Hi List , Is there anyone making any kind of programming to the Scout ? Seems to me that the scout is abandoned by lego and the list . Let's make the Scout programming wheel go round. Jeronimo Avelar (26 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

Hi List Members , Are there anyone using NQC to program the Scout ? I have some doubts at Events , VLL , and IR . Do anyone have a piece of NQC code using this functions ? Thanks in advance , Jeronimo (26 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Re: Scout Questions

The others have mentioned the white gear is a clutch gear. I thought I'd throw out a practical use to put it into perspective: it's ideal for a motorized gripper, where you'd want the grip to have some resistance as it closes, but not so much torque (...)   Re: Scout Questions

(...) The white gears are a slip gear. To explain it put one on a motor and make it spin. Now grab on to it and it will stop and turn inside. You will notice that there is still a little tension on the gear. It's great for low torque projects where (...) (26 years ago, 12-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

I have two questions about my new scout: 1) What are the white gears used for? 2) Can anyone point me to sites that feature models, etc for this set? Thanks, Will Lego Beach Department of Emergency Services www.crosswinds.net/~hokie (26 years ago, 12-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  spirit.ocx & scout

Can I make program for the Scout using spirit.ocx? If yes, why it's not included in the SDK package? Thanks Ricardo (26 years ago, 6-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)
