The color coded sensors are used in CyberMaster. Code Pilot uses the normal
sensor.

Yes, it is a resister, connected in parallel with the switch, so you can read
the resistance value when the switch is not pressed. See

of connecting three color-coded touch sensors in series to the same RCX input
