Thank I figured out how to use the sensors I must have an old version or somthing because i have to write the "#ifdef"decleration and the "#endif" decleration on top and on the bottom of the "SetSensor(SENSOR_1, SENSOR_TOUCH);" here (...) (...) As far as sensors go for the SCOUT you DO NOT have to declare them at all. Just comment out anything to do with declaring Sensors. The scout uses a different command to get the RAW values. Thanks I got the test.nqc flie to download and it worked....but when I try any program from the unoffical guide to lego mindstorms robots like the Hank The Bumper Tank program, it gives me the undifined variable error it says "undifined (...) (...) nqc -SCOM2 You need to be careful about upper/lower case for options. I know its annoying, but there are a *lot* of options, so case is important. Hi, do any of you think that you can program the scout in legOS? My NQC is not working it says "could not open serial port" and it aborts the download so legOS would mabe work. Alex (25 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

Why would opening ScoutTool.exe with Windows 95 display "Unable to initialize Ghost" with Scout turned ON and within 10 cm of IR Tower? Already followed procedures under "Init Ghost" in Help (ScoutTool.pdf). Thanks in advance for any help. (25 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

Alex, In addition to the links that Rainer provided, you could also check out the following: (URL) tutorial, written by Mark Overmars (the author of the Rcx Command Center), introduces NQC and can is usefull even if you're not working with RcxCC.
