(...) Great. Thanks. This is a real lifesaver since I am deleting and reloading firmware at a rapid rate and my RCX is inside a construction which makes it awkward to get at the batteries. (...) Yes. The IR just becomes a dumb serial port whith an annoying builtin echo, almost like you had a serial port cable attached to the RCX. (...) You can use RCX.pm, but that's really for sending native byte streams to the RCX. You can just use standard IO calls to write to the serial port on your Linux Box. (...) Thanks. That helps. Case sensitivity is good but requiring upper case for hex is annoying. I suppose this is forth standard.
