| (...) Theresa, If you're using LegOS (not BrickOS), then I believe the answer is that you can't get around it. I don't think LegOS works with the USB tower. You'll need to go with a version of BrickOS (which doesn't yet have a cool install like (...) (21 years ago, 1-May-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| A couple of years ago, i used brickOS. Then, i changed to Lejos... I have a moc where i use the RCX to control a train with a lego train motor. | Hi everyone, I am having real difficulty at the moment getting anywhere with brickos. But it seems i do not have the kernel legos.srec or brickos.srec whichever it might be, it's just not there. | (...) It is much simpler to download the pre-built Hitachi H8 tools than it is to try and build the cross-compiler under cygwin. (URL) them under your cygwin directory. | Hi i am currently working on legOS and i installed brickOS-2.6.10 successfully and downloaded the kernel to the RCX without problems.
