  Re: multiple motors

(...) Great. My method was to combine the motor outputs down to two axles (left & right) and then do the gearing down/up. I also played with running the "boost" motors at a different gear ratio than the other four, but wasn't sure it would help (...) (23 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Hy How many free space has the RCX? I mean, how great can a NQC-Scipt be? I've read in the help-File, that a script mustn't be greater than 16Kb. Is that true? (23 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Problems with changing LNP_HOSTADDR

Hi, since a few hours, I'm trying to give an RCX another LNP_HOSTADDR - so I changed the appropriate line in boot/config.h from #define CONF_LNP_HOSTADDR 0x00 //!< LNP host address to #define CONF_LNP_HOSTADDR 0x01 //!< LNP host address and compiled (...)   Re: C$ - Code Only

(...) NQC compiles not quite C code into LEGO firmware opcodes. You download the .rcx result, and LEGO firmware interprets the program. This makes it slow. QuiteC and brickOS both use H8 native C compilers that spit out H8 assembly code directly. (...) (23 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

(...) I think most people seriously underestimated how hard building the robot would be. The funny thing is, all of rtlToronto's events have the same general premise: Build a robot that does something. Second, if you can make the robot do it well, (...) I am getting a common (apparent in the legos newsgroup) error "Error 53: Opening //./legotower1" when I try to download a program.   Curious problem with download

I just got Mindstorm set, and since I do not have a PC, NQC seemed like a great place to start. I tried Mac NQC and did not get very far downloading the RCX firmware.
