| Somewhere on the LEGO site it says that Serial > USB is not compatable -- If you must, why not just buy a USB IR tower from PITSCO LEGODacta for $30? If you have the SDK 2.5, or even the SDK 2.0, it comes with the driver for the USB tower (in the (...) (21 years ago, 14-Aug-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

For platforms that Lego supported, I needed to work through their drivers - otherwise people would have to install one set of drivers for NQC, and another (...) | Just came across youre discussion, and I thought this might help... Lego is usually a bit overreacting whit the systemrequirements. I've runned RIS 1.5 on an 486 whit 20 MB ram and 1 MB video,and the sysreq's from lego said it required an (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| (...) I have installed it with no problem on Win2K. Do you have a full RIS 2.0 with the USB tower? If so, you are probably out of luck for NT. I've heard you can by the serial tower from pitsco-dacta, which should allow you to use NQC on NT fine. (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| I have Windows 7 RC on my netbook and I can't get the NXT software (version 1.1) to install. It hangs when the installer presents its progress bars and starts copying files off the CD. Does the 2.0 software work with Windows 7? By the way, RIS 2.0 (...) (15 years ago, 27-Jul-09, to lugnet.robotics.nxt, lugnet.robotics.rcx)
