  Re: RIS 2.0 PreAlpha SDK

  Mindstorms RIS 1.5 (9747) price?

Hi. Is this set gonna be replaced in the near future? I just picked up two sets for DM 199 (about USD 100) each here in Germany. All other stores I called today asked between 399 and 449. The Droid Dev kit sold for DM 109 in that store. Frank (25 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

My sense is that future versions (say in time for Christmas) will have new firmware, but the new firmware will also be available to current users. I'd say you got a good deal. At DM 109, even the Droid kit is a good deal, not even counting the (...) (25 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Oh, wow!! If that set is even half as good as it looks in the picture, that will be one set everyone will be scrambling to pick up!! Thank you for the answer, but: Do you have any idea whether my system (366 Mhz PII notebook, 64 MB RAM, but only 2.5 MB Video RAM - where LEGO states 4 MB as necessary) could run the original LEGO 2.0 software? Dirk Schlei (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)
