  Vision command & macintosh
 
Hi, has anybody an idea to use the vision command with a macintosh? All newer Macintosh have usb for connecting the camera but there comes no driver for it from Lego. Ralf (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  TOWERAPI.DLL: Where is TOWERAPI.LIB file in SDK 2.0?
 
I'm trying to use "TOWERAPI.DLL" to directly setup the USB tower drivers in a Windows C++ program using Microsoft's Visual Studio. Lego's documentation refers to linking with "TOWERAPI.LIB" but this file is not in the SDK 2.0 release. In an earlier (...) (22 years ago, 2-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Vision Command is a monster install. Mine crashed when it got to the part where you plug in the camera and it does the hardware install. I was cheating a bit. I think I didn't mention that there is an addition for XCam2 called XRay which makes XCam2 a usb webcam. My question was if it could be used. Is there a complete instruction for installing BrickOS on Linux? I'm particularly interested in details involving creating a cross-compiler and getting the USB tower to work. (...) Rich, Those patches were created for optimizing some legOS code. I believe it was some interupt code. The legOS code and brickOS code have internal work arounds. (...) Theresa, If you're using LegOS (not BrickOS), then I believe the answer is that you can't get around it. I don't think LegOS works with the USB tower. You'll need to go with a version of BrickOS (which doesn't yet have a cool install like (...) (21 years ago, 1-May-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

I finally got my Mars Expansion Pack working with my Pinnacle Video Capture Card, type DC10 Plus. I can switch between the tiny black and white camera that fits on a robot much better, viewed through the card, and the USB QuickCam Pro golf ball (...)
