Hi, i'm from Brazil and i don't have a good English, so if i make some mistakes sorry. I'm making a project using RCX. I need to send a message to this, but i wouldn't want to use bricx and robolab to do it. I'd like to make my own software whom (...) (20 years ago, 26-Sep-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

You have to comment CONF_PROGRAM if you commented CONF_TM, but I am not sure if you still can download your program without CONF_PROGRAM. I don't think you can comment CONF_TM. Zhengrong ---...--- (...) (23 years ago, 7-Nov-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: How to communication between RCXs without PC?

You know I had finished my control program in NQC, it is not so simple, but I need to control LEGO Train in smooth speed, NQC is limitation, so I want to use legOS for one of RCX, could you give me some hints for sending/receiving NQC style message (...)   RE: How much RAM is left?

(...) Nope, the memory is allocated linearly from the end of the image. The current image size is 12 or 13K. New dictionary entries and ALLOTed memory are interspersed as they occur. NOTE WELL that there is a subtle bug in the RCX ROM routines when (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  RCX in Intro Computing Class

Hello, My college computer science department is thinking of using Lego Mindstorms as part of the introduction to computer programming class. The book we would use to teach is written by a few of my prof's. I have taken an outline of the book, (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java, lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

How could I tell if I'd cooked the motor controllers ?

We had an informal Robo-Sumo thing at my work place tonight and I'm wondering if I killed my RCX. My 'bot had two gearmotors on A and two more on C to drive the wheels. Could they have drawn enough current when the 'bot was stalled to harm the RCX ? (...) (22 years ago, 14-Feb-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

How to find maximum available memory for datalog, power consumption and sensor wire length?

Hi there, I'm preparing to write a log program to store temperature values in the datalog. After some experimenting and familiarizing with the datalog associated functions I've found the following: Using CreateDatalog(x) with x being a constant and (...) (...) Hallelujah! (...) A couple questions for someone with a multimeter: Does the 1.0 power adapter output a clean 9v DC? Or does it overcompensate -- at, say, 9.3v -- like other cheap wall adapters? Does the voltage drop by more than 1% while (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Anyone know how to build a stall sensor?

(...) Yes. I just got a rotation sensor. Trouble is that the motors could stop for a variety of reasons (like the robot isn't moving). That isn't the real reason though (I could always handle that in software). The real reason is that ever since I (...) (23 years ago, 6-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

A NQC command (say, "Wait(10);") is converted to one or more "bytecodes" (in this case, one bytecode, namely a string of 4 bytes (0x43 0x02 0x0a 0x00), the first of which is a command (0x43) while the following three are information (...)
