I had the same problem. Under NT WS 4.0 and same instruction for LegOS 0.2.2. Now I've solved!!! I'm here to explain how. (...) Same problem.   Turning power off?
 
To my dismay, I discovered this morning that the batteries of the RCX were empty. And it's sunday :-( It is possible that I forgot to turn it off, yesterday evening. But aside from this, I use the sequence LCD_CLEAR LCD_REFRESH POWER_OFF to turn the (...) (25 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  can't dll with brickOS 2.6.10
 
I have been away for quite a while, and when I tried to upgrade to 0.2.6.10 I found that after I firmdl3 (which works, and the RCX works) I am unable to dll (yes, using the included dll, yes, with rebuilt .lx files).   USB / x86 open sys based RCX replacement??
 
After playing with my legos, RCX, NQC, stuff for awhile, I find a more powerful RCX with proviions for more inputs and outputs and lots more memory, CPU power, options, and interconnections, seems like it would be desireable.   malloc() bug found -- BAD MEMORY REGION :-(
 
It looks like it's not a bug in legOS, but in the RCX hardware: Memory from 0xfb80 to 0xfd7f is simply NOT WRITEABLE, or more exactly, always read as 0xff, at least on my RCX ! Hi, I recently finished my thesis project: "Constraint Programming over LEGOS MindStorm" working with LNP, Serial tower(the only one i found sopport) and a rcx 2.0. Hi, has anyone tried to make JP Brown's Cubesolver ((URL) compatible with the USB Tower? I saw on (URL) there is a replacement for spirit.ocx (used for the serial tower), called phantom, and on that website it says "...delete the Spirit.ocx control (...) Several people report download failures at about 75% of way through downloading the 2.0 firmware. This problem could be related to using one of the "quad" speed downloading routines available in many of the alternative development systems. The (...)
