| | Robot Controller 1.5
|
| I have released a new (beta) version of Robot Controller, the ideal companion to NQC for Mac OS X. This version adds support for serial IR towers (provided you have a working serial port) and makes several other minor improvements. Download it now (...) | (...) I can't comment on the sensors, but I do have experience w/the balls. The balls are of good quality, well-balanced, and they are a brilliant IR source. (Standard light sensors see them just fine.) However, battery life is quite short (approx. (...) (20 years ago, 23-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

| (...) Is this neural network code made public? I have emulegos, but I havn't much more than started it up. Do you know if it can handle IR-communication between several RCXs? Tobias (24 years ago, 21-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Re: problems with legos on notebook
|
| Hallo Ross! This is just the problem, I can not download programs or the legos.srec. Both, firmdl3 and dll give the message "bad ir link". I have an other linux computer on which (with a built in com port) dll and firmdl3 work correctly. I compared (...) (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | using the remote control with legOS
|
| the LNP stuff is neat, but it seem's that the remote control isn't using either "integrity" or "addressing" protocol how do I access directly the incoming IR buffer ?? I didn't see any source code for "lnp_integrity_set_handler" , how does it work ? (...) (25 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | RE: pbForth vs RCX 1.0
|
| (...) What you describe would work exactly. Normally, the "outer interpreter" of pbForth waits for input using "KEY" - which of course is just a char from the IR. You can make a special word that waits for anything you like... Cheers, Ralph (22 years ago, 30-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

| (...) Yep, You took a DOS format makefile. Unix uses \n for line ends, DOS \r\n. When unix sees the DOS form, it thinks you mean 'ir_rover^M' ^M, Ctrl-M is the unix way of expressing \r.
