The point is that the RCX processor can address 64k of memory, so let's divide this range into 4 equal area of 16k. (note:16k or 16384, in hex is 0x4000). (...) | Hey, I have a little dilema when running nqc on RedHat 6.1 distribution of Linux on a Toshiba Satellite 2615DVD Laptop Computer. | Hi. I just got through fixing a similar problem with my linux box (the fix involved a lot of tedious changing IRQ's in the BIOS, with a lot of tedious rebooting in between). | (...) Yep, You took a DOS format makefile. Unix uses \n for line ends, DOS \r\n. When unix sees the DOS form, it thinks you mean 'ir_rover^M' ^M, Ctrl-M is the unix way of expressing \r. | Finally I got a firmdl3 version that FULLY works on Winnt, both in slow and fast mode! No more "write: permission denied" or "read: permission denied" problems... | I have observed the same behavior... only by night. I think it must be the tower receiving echoes of its own packets. | (...) The RCX uses a special packet protocol which involes a lot of binary (non-ASCII) bytes, so controlling it with Hyperterminal won't work very well.
