  Re: Tasks vs. program slots

(...) Dave, It is basically just exactly what you describe. It usually takes about 200us or so to "see" the incoming 38KHz signal, common I suppose for an integrator to react to the signal getting through the band-pass filter, then a Schmidt trigger (...) I just picked up a copy of the Vision Command today and boy is it cool ! I found it toady in my local Target along with the $49.95 mos espa pod race special :-) The little web cam is way cool. it takes great pictures, better than my other web cam. (...)   Re: Using NQC with iBook

I use the Keyspan TWIN adapter (USB to serial port) along with a simple mac-to-pc style serial adapter (I think it came with a Pilot 1000 many years ago). The TWIN adapter is a bit pricey, but I bought it because it also works with externally synced (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

(...) You can do what you want with the camera, but there's a 5 meter USB cord that has to be plugged into the computer if you want the camera to do anything. (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Using NQC with iBook

I have had no difficulty using NQC on iMacs with a Keyspan PDA adapter (USB to DB9). The adapters run about $39US. The adapter comes with the necessary drivers that allow NQC to see it. Have fun! (...) (24 years ago, 27-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Solved?? rotation sensor problem.

I tried solutions posted on this newsgroup to fix the rotation sensor problem.But It didn't work stable enough. I tracked the sensor input and realized the sensor sometimes picked up transient signal between two states. To solve this problem, I (...) (25 years ago, 10-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: communication PC <-IR-> RCX

Hi Pavel, check out the program loader. Basically, you have to register your own port handler for incoming packets on the PC. You should also acknowledge them in some way, so the RCX knows what's going on. Maybe IR networking should become secure. (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)
