I see. So OmniRemote isn't generic enough to handle all codes from any IR
device? I guess that would create a lot of overhead that the developer of
OmniRemote doesn't need to get involved with, if they just want to remain in
the context of standard IR devices for TVs, VCRs, Scramblers, etc. Our context
of operation may indeed require direct hardware access on the Pilot. What is
the baud rate of the IR tower? Or is that undetermined at this point?

Understood. If I can help in a off-line support effort, let me know.

I've had a chance to check these programs out. I prefer the LRemote at this
point, but both work pretty well. I like the simplicity of LRemote for he
train control application, so the kids can have at it too. Must get them to
geek out too ;^)

| Ed, LEGO does not use IrDA protocol but this is not the problem with OmniRemote. OmniRemote simply records any IR it detects at training and transmits a copy of the signals no matter what format they are in. I believe the two main problems with (...)
