Firstly, 19.9v is a normal unloaded voltage from a 12v DC adapter. The reason: these common wall adapters are unregulated, and voltage output varies inversely to current. I haven't had any luck in getting the samples in the Interactive C 3.1b8 distribution to compile. I'm using a Mac and v1.2 Handyboard. (...) Well, I have mine hooked to a 12-channel GPS unit (the kind that has a DB-9 connector and a Cigarette lighter adapter for power, and no user interface at all). You need to get the CONFIG register to be set to 0x0c. If it is set to 0x0d, there will be memory conflicts. See the FAQ for an explanation. Try DL.EXE from the freeware DOS package. Hi. I had to remove the CTRL-M's from the file. After I did that it loaded into IC no problem. So the MS-DOS v3.1 beta 4 of IC doesn't handle them. But I came across another problem. Maria, Can you follow the instructions for prepping ICB files at (URL) let us know if that solves the problem? I had been told that this problem was solved in the 3.1 versions of IC, but perhaps not.
