  Quick Question...

Howdy, Ordinarily this would be a question better suited for comp.sci.electronics...g-or-other but since the Handy Board expansion interface uses a 4051, I figured someone here could give me the answer more quickly... The official docs for the 4051 (...) (28 years ago, 5-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Buying a board.

ok, I've been lurking on this group for like 2 or 3 years. I've just now finally gotten around to looking into actually buying a board. The only problem is that I don't have a lot of knowledge about robots at least the building end of it, I know (...) (28 years ago, 5-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: help on hbtest.c

Hi Steve, The file hbtest.c allows you to test the various features of the Handy Board and make sure they are operational. To use hbtest.c, type "load hbtest.c" at the IC prompt. When the file is finished loading, you will see the IC prompt again. (...) (28 years ago, 5-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: motors for the handy board

(...) I had the same problem. I did many tests, and the last one was: I removed the 4x4 transmision, removed both forward and backward differential, and put a 9.6V motor with a VERY high torque. The results: the car started running, and in two or (...) (28 years ago, 4-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Handy Board Users: I am building the first part of the HB: the charger/communication interface and I already got a problem: when I am testing the MAX232 and probing pad 3 of the SUBD connector when shorting together pins 6 and 10 of the MAX232, I (...)   motors for the handy board

Handy Board Users: I took the LEGO Super Car (#8880) and scrapped everything but the four wheel drive with the differentials, the front and rear wheel steering, and the suspension.   Where is "set_digital_threshold()" in IC 3.18?

Last year in my 6.270-style course the students used "set_digital_threshold()" which was in lib_r22.c. With the newer IC I can't find it.   Re: Assembly language and the handyboard

  17 feet

Well, I haven't looked at the sonar routines, but my guess is that 17 feet round trip at around 1ms / foot each way is close to 32.768 ms, which is when the 16 bit timer in the 6811 overflows (the 6811 clocks the 16-bit counter at 2 Mhz).
