I am trying to get the handyboard to communicate with a standard COM port. I have Randy Sargent's code of how to communicate serially, however, a terminal program cannot find the handyboard (I get a "Cannot open COM Port" error). I think that there (...) Along similar lines, I've been searching for a web site I saw once. It features a basic stamp or PIC controlled LCD terminal, to be directly connected to a serial line. Matt Harlan found a mistake in the following drawing. (...) Glad someone checked it, yup, the drawing is wrong. pin 3 on the LMD18200 goes to pin 2 on the handyboard, and pin 5 on the LMD18200 goes to pin 1 on the handy board. Sorry for the trouble (...) Ronan -- I don't think it's the LCD per se that is causing problems, but rather the fact that the HB runs the 6811 in special mode. Tom I got a couple LMD18200's from National and I'm getting ready to connect them to my HB. Looking back in my list of messages I got this: (...) This part is OK, but I'm not sure about the rest.
