About a year and a half ago, I read in the ROBOTS! newsletter about Mr. Ray Butts and the Tiny 2.0 computer he sold based on the 68HC11E1, 32K RAM, and little else. (...) Good question. Many UNIX programs are text-based, which allows easier integration with editors, etc. (if you disable paren balencing, you should be able to run IC under emacs, for example). Well, I finally broke down and bought a PC. (after being an amiga user for serveral years...) In an attempt to make life more interesting, i decided to install linux on my system. Fred & others, FYI, there were 5 teams of LEGO robots (using 6270 and HB) in the "grown-up" category from Penn State Abington-Ogontz (Abington, PA). How does one get the Sharp GP1U52 recievers to acknowledge the 100/125 hz scheme? I've tried using the set_ir_recieve_frequency and ir_counts routines but I only seem to be able to get recognition on port 15. Is there another piece of code that has (...) (...) Fred, I use dl on a DOS 286, which does the CONFIG register automatically I thought. In any case, I tried using dl -eeprom config0c.s19, with the same results. It varies slightly from servo to servo. Fundemmentally there is a potentiometer that measure the servo position and prevents mechanically the movement .
