  Re: Pad/Hole Widths

Hi Mike check with your board manufacturer for production specification. The via hole size I resently used was 12mil with a via size of 16mil. For Pad/Hole Width use the specifications of the parts you want to put on your board. A hole should be (...) (26 years ago, 18-May-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RC Servo motor internal electronics

Has anyone out there ever seen, heard about, or thought about the details of electronic circuit built into a hobby servo motor to do the positioning and maintaining the position based on the signal pulse sent? I am interested in any information or (...) (26 years ago, 18-May-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Pad/Hole Widths

Does anyone know what typical Pad/Hole Widths are for thru-hole parts? What about via/hole widths? Is there a web site for PCB geometry sizes that someone could point me to?   Charging HB-PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

Hello. I just got HB assembled and tested. I do not have external NiCDs connected, since I am going to be cutting the power lead and connecting an alternative power source. From what I understand there is an internal battery that still needs to be (...) (26 years ago, 15-May-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  E Series MCUs

I am using an 811E2 part in my handyboard with IC. It is supposed to have problems with this chip. I have not disabled the EEPROM but it still seems to work. I have been having a problem finding the A1FN part. I do not want to buy anymore of the (...) (26 years ago, 15-May-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Shorted Handyboard

Finishing mounting our handyboard to the chasis of our robot, we shorted the board. A screwdriver made contact near the IR reciever on the bottom right corner of the board. Additionally, the 2.5A fuse blew. After this occured, we have not been able (...) (26 years ago, 13-May-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Does the HB NEED 9.6 volts?

I am planning on using stepper motors with a handy board, which hopefully I will have in a week :) The specs on the HB say it uses 9.6 volts. Is this a required voltage? or can it be another rating as long as it is within the regulators limits. (...) (26 years ago, 13-May-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: HandyBoard 10-16 Servo support

(...) I had exactly the same problem. There is a CMOS chip by Motorola called the MC14028B that is a BCD-to-decimal or Binary-to-octal decoder. All that really matters though is that it will take a 4-bit input and decode up to *10* outputs that are (...) (26 years ago, 13-May-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
