The SPI (synchronous peripheral interface) does not do normal RS-232 (aka "asynchronous serial") in hardware. you must write an assembly language driver to do the timing. at some point in january i plan to release a 1200 baud output driver. if (...) I have seen these all over - they are simple 900Mhz wireless links for video/audio. I think Radio Shack sells a device like this, as do the two places Mike Ross mentioned, JDR (URL) and Supercircuits (URL)---...--- (...) (28 years ago, 3-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) I put one on my project. Expect video dropouts from Rabbit type (i.e. 900 MHz) devices, when the robot goes behind trees, dense walls, and other areas. I would like to add a B+W Camera to my robot, and send the signal over a wireless RF connection. I understand the RF part is fairly easy, with a number of solutions, including the commercially available 'Rabbit' doing a fine job. However, I have no (...) I have been using the Handyboard on an R/C vehicle platform with Hall Effect sensors as the wheel shaft encoders. I would like to replace the battery used on my handyboard with a 12V Lead Acid Battery, either 1.3 ah or 2.2ah. Someone has already taken the neccessary steps to relieve us of most of the work. Go to the HandyBoard HP's Software contributions and look into the directory of "kent". I think you're right. I used a transistor to drive the INIT with its emmiter and feed the TTL signal to the base. It seems to work fine now. :) You know what's funny, I tried using a CMOS chip (HCT) and it was able to drive the INIT signal. I figure (...) (28 years ago, 28-Nov-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi, In the book "Mobile robotics -Inspiration to Implementation" the addition of a logarthmic amplifier to the o/p of a photocell is discussed.
