I personally prefer to see implementations in a real language, but the
language itself doesn't matter. It is pretty easy to translate algoritms
from Pascal to C (to use a off-topic example), but it can be more difficult
to go from some one's random idea of a pseudo-code language to a real
language.
Additionally if someone has written the algorithm in a real language then
there is no reason to ask them to translate it to a non-existant one.
Similarily, if they have only written it in pseudo-code then it is untested
and may not work as advertised.
I've never been a fan of pseudo-code when there are plenty of real, well
defined, languages that can be used.
