Depending on the number of sensors used, there will be no more sensors
inputs to add a "beacon detector". My first idea was to use some kind of
rotating sensor to detect where the beacon is, and to decide when we are
near enough. But well, if no more sensors inputs are available, a
different color square could be a good step before adding a real light
seeking mode...

Good idea, this sounds just like having a bad guy(=brick) and a good guy
in the maze. You should avoid the bad guy, and try to rescue the good
guy...
