Well, see matt's reply for a seasoned veteran's thoughts, but from my inventory it was a good set of parts considering: I didn't have access to a pitsco ot s@h catalogue ToysR'Us here has a very poor selection of Lego. Western Massachusettes needs like a lego superstore in my opinion - like down the street. Open 24 hours maybe... Now that I have my trusty catalogues, I'm pretty sure it was not worth the money. I have _never_ used any of the CD's from Extreme Creatures, RoboSports, or TurboCommand. I think the CD's are supposed to add value to the package... Any way Steve - thanks for the detailed reply!! (...) I might not have the names correct but yes that's what I meant. The idler gear has no center teeth and the clutch will let go after a certain torque limit gets hit. (...) That's a good list. I too entered the LEGO world with Mindstorms and have been having lots of fun since Christmas. I've currently have some pretty heavy desires on getting an 8880 Super Car but I can hardly afford the $200 it takes to do it. My wife (...) (26 years ago, 10-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics)
