My daughter and I just finished the primary model in the 8263 Snow Groomer set tonight. I bought two primarily because the set inventory looked like it would yield a lot of handy robot building parts. That was a good decision. It has a nice yield of (...) No, it will not work. Due to Apple's restrictions, any device that a developer wants to talk to over Bluetooth must be brand-new and approved by Apple. The developer of the iNXT Remote app says that if the restrictions are changed, he will gladly (...) (16 years ago, 12-Sep-09, to lugnet.robotics)

It won't be easy to write a program with Visual Studio that runs ON the RCX. It should be pretty easy (for a programmer) to write a program that runs on a PC, and uses the IR tower to send commands to the RCX, telling it what to do. Also, you can't (...) Oops.. absolutely correct - do I feel like an idiot? :) As Doug says, the brick can only be programmed in a limited sense using VLL. By trial, error, and lots of googling, I found a recipe for getting to the programming feature in the RIS software that came with my old original set.
