Hey all, This is a wee bit off topic, so apologies in advance. I'm a long time lego fan but a relative computer novice. So I thought I'd turn to my fellow hobbyist in regards to their specialty.   Brickworld MINDSTORMS Competition event-- Triathlon
 
After much delay (sorry) we've finalized the rules for the robot Triathlon event being held at Brickworld. The rules are quite long since it is essentially 3 contests in one, so I'm only going to highlight a few things here and ask you to download (...) Hi Paul, (...) It depends on the language/environment you want to use. The NXT-G software that comes with it, only runs on Windows and OSX. (...) It depends on your hardware. Are you running your OS on IA32/x86 hardware? If so, then you can use the NXT with your OS using some of my utilities. See this NXTASY thread for details about running NBC and NeXTTool under Ubuntu with built-in (...) (17 years ago, 5-May-08, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello! I have LEGO Mindstorms NXT. Because I use mainly Debian GNU/Linux Etch as OS I'm wonder whether can I use LEGO Mindstorms NXT on this OS? Any advices will be appreciated! (17 years ago, 3-May-08, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Yes, the GPS communicated directly to the NXT via bluetooth. I can't remember who it was that figured out how to do this, after most of us thought it was impossible, but it does work. A while ago I watched as Steve Hassenplug started building and testing an outdoor GPS guided LEGO robot to compete in a RoboMagellan contest he called the Green Monster.   NXT, Bluetooth & cell phones/PDAs
 
Greetings, I need to buy a new PDA/cell phone. I want to get one that will be able to communicate with my NXTs via Bluetooth.
