I would love to start working with people on creating a MindStorms FAQ for
new users. There is a definite need for a good one somewhere.

Excellent outline; however I think it is a too "Mindstorms" focused. Perhaps the name should be changed to "Mindstorms and Lego-robotics FAQ". Many newcomers ask for pointers to using the Mindstorms hardware (RCX/firmware) outside of a pure LEGO (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) The FAQ seems fine, but you almost forgot the CyberMaster. Knowing that most Europe only can buy the 8482 LEGO TECHNIC CyberMaster and that never seen the 9719 LEGO Robotics Invention System, I think your FAQ is excluding way too many people (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

I've constructed a circuit that will read four switches from one input port. Theory- The input port is an A/D circuit. It reads voltage as opposed to state. The A/D line is wired to a 10K ohm resistor that is in turn wired 5 volts. Thus if it is (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)
