It needs one of those 9 volt batteries. It seems to last *forever* - but
then I only use it for relatively short and infrequent program downloads.
It might last for dramatically shorter times if you spend a lot of time
talking back and forth to your Robots as they are working.

Yes - it's just the same as the RCX 1.5 and 2.0 in that respect.
I should say that it DOESN'T COME WITH AN AC ADAPTOR - only the socket
in the case to allow you to connect one up if you buy one separately.
