Well, to save you worrying, why not just go buy it for $30 and I'll send
you the
$30 + cost of postage and you can forward it to me. I'm sure I could get
$30 value
out of it.
I don't think the average 3 year old would have a lot of use for it anyhow.

| (...) Iain, This looks like a perfect opportunity to try using the servo circuit I designed! If I use some of the heavier duty servos I have in my stash, it could probably go direct drive.
