Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Doom

(...) If they are seeking a partner to help them with LEGO Games then perhaps they SHOULD be seeing a company that has a proven GAME record. NOT a destroyer of the public good! (...) I would hope that M$ does not get involved at all. M$ is only (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Doom

I believe the main reason why TLC has joined with MS is that TLC has stopped growing for the first time in its history and is trying to find a way not to go bankrupt in a fair amount of time! The major cause of TLC to have losses is the ever more (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Need for chat server?

Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Doom

Re: Target online has Technic Star Wars for half price

(...) The Destroyer Droid has on the end of the tail (actually pointing forward) three 3 clear-red single-studs. Also the 4 'guns' (2 at each side) have got 2 studs each at the bottom. This makes a total of 11 studs, or can anyone else find more? I (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Microsoft and LEGO Company Announce a Shared Doom

(...) The difference is that now, Lego are reasonably open about letting people build their own tools like NQC that use the firmware inside the box.   Limit Switches without using sensor inputs

Perhaps the biggest problem with Mindstorms is having only 3 sensor inputs. Using sensor inputs to control motor positioning is often a waste of valuable resource. Industrial automation has long used the concept of limit switches to control (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  RCX and PalmIII

Am wondering if anyone has completed a robot using both an RCX and a PalmPilot configuration? What I mean is having the PalmPilot acting as the primary processing unit and the RCX to control the motors and as sensor inputs? Thanks, VOng (25 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
