Am wondering if anyone has completed a robot using both an RCX and a PalmPilot configuration? What I mean is having the PalmPilot acting as the primary processing unit and the RCX to control the motors and as sensor inputs? Thanks, VOng (25 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Hi Dan, I would be happy to send you one of my cds -- I went nutz and got three RIS sets this past year (my excuse was that I taught a course in robotics fall semester :) Anyway, I don't use the software at all since I am mac and linux on all my (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Destroyer droid has an *INSANE* number of teeny-tiny parts. 550 parts - scarcely *any* are more than an inch long! * If you want LOTS of axles, axle joiners, pegs, thin beams, collars, etc - then this is a GOOD set. (...) Very GOOD! Now contact LEGO consumer affairs and tell them you received a 1.0. Ask them for the FREE 1.0 to 1.5 upgrade kit. I've received 3 of these kits with no hassle what so ever. It comes with the manuals and software and all the parts (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I ordered a RIS 1.5 and recieved a 1.0. Should I be happy? I know the 1.0 has a jack for an external power supply. Also the firmware can be updated. So is there a downside to having been sent a 1.0 RIS? Thanks! Andy (25 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
