(...) Since it works fine with 1.2V recharable batteries I guess a little less then 9V is also OK. Also it should handle a tad above 9V w/o problems. I got a very nice transformator with both an analouge voltage and ampere meter but I'll hook it up (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Steve, You have a complete list of the kit pieces on the last page of the constructopedia so you can check if there is something missing. I already had sets with missing pieces but they were already opened in the store. I don't believe Lego would (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I've put my battery in the IR Tower the wrong way, and it didn't seem to hurt anything. I know it took me a great deal of fiddling in the Control Panel before I got the serial port working correctly on my computer. To be honest, I really don't (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Usually these circuits are protected against reversed polarity. Does the green light work after the battery was properly installed. Have you succeeded in installing the firmware? Try different settings on the tower switch. Short range and Long (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
