Newbie: English manuals / parts / few general questions...

Hi all, I know this must be a pain in the arse but here's just a couple of questions for all the non-newbies out there: 1) Does anyone know where I can find English Software/Manuals to download for the RIS1.5? (Mine are German & French). I've called (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Line following program?

My son and I are just getting started wtih the Invention System 1.5 and are wondering if there is a version of a line following program included anyplace. We have the ROBOLAB software for Mac. Non of the programs included look like they will follow (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Digital Camera

If you are thinking about the Sony Mavica, consider the Olympus C3000/C3030, incredibly good image quality, 3.3 Megapixel images, 16 or so possible quality settings, I use the HQ setting and a 64MB smartmedia card to get over 80 shots before I need (...)   Re: Digital Camera

  Lego laser pointers

A year or so ago, someone was selling lego laser pointers on the list. I was wondering if anyone would still be willing to sell me 2. Andy (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Different motor speeds?

(...) Well, we've talked a bout this quite a lot over the past month or so - and as I'm sure others will say - you can't guarantee that all motors have identical speeds - and it's known that the motors spin slightly faster "forwards" than (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  MacNQC and RCX Troubles

I just got RIS1.0 and can't seem to get the RCX to respond using MacNQC or RCX Command Center running under Virtual PC 3.0. My cabling seems ok (using Palm 3 mac serial port adapter) as the green light on the IR tower comes on whenever I send a (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: ROBOLAB for non PowerPC macs?

(...) Hi Robert, I think that ROBOLAB only is running with PowerPC macs. If you want to realise Lego robots with an older mac you have to do this with NQC. NQC is fat and runs with both PowerPC and 68000 macs. Ralf (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  EToys sale

EToys (who I wouldn't normally buy from) is having an after-holiday sale. A few Mindstorm kits are listed. Here's one that seemed like a great discount: (URL) - Xenon (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Different motor speeds?

  Different motor speeds?

Folks: 1040EST 363-2000 Now that I'm "off and running" with regard to emailing to the list I thought I'd ask a question that's been going through my mind. I've build a very (VERY) simple robot that basically consists of two medium sized wheels (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX replacment firmware

Hi Chris, leJOS is not an irreversible step, nor is legOS or pbForth or even Lego's default firmware. The firmware is stored in battery-backed RAM, so you can download different firmwares as much as you like. Look for an article about leJOS in (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)
