  Re: How2 'count' in NQC

Steve, this is the third time you have helped me, and this time you obviously spent a lot of time working out the alternatives. First of all, the Wait (DELAY); in my inept code was not to flash every half second. It was to prevent additional counts (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: MOC: Radio Controlled Tank.

(...) Here's an idea you can try to have them slip a bit less. Do you have the ordinary chain links too? Then ones without the wide tread? If so use an ordinary chain link for every third link, say. Like this: ##=##=##=##= Perhaps this will give (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

One of 'em I even managed to scare twice, first when the tank entered the room and then when it actually fired a projectile :) To bad it takes almost half a minute to set the cannon horisontally, I have to (...) (...) Thanks! So do I :) (...) It's from before my dark ages, mainly the 8851 Excavator and the 8660 Arctic Rescue, I also got two with the 8843 Fork Lift truck. They usually look better then they work since they tend to slip a lot, but in this case (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Palm Hardware Interface idea? + other stuff

(...) It's basically the same serial data connection as the RCX. It just uses radio for transmission instead of infrared, so it goes around corners and has a longer range. Jürgen (25 years ago, 3-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: RCX2

(...) Right now, it's just a different firmware package that you can download into any RCX. You can get a copy on the main Lego site and upgrade your RCX 1.0 or 1.5 to the 2.0 software level...it's a significant improvement if you use NQC - it adds (...)   How2 'count' in NQC

In NQC you count by adding 1 to a variable like this: int counter; counter += 1 But it's hard to know *how much* you have counted; however, you can build a little program to (say) flash a light when you reach a certain count. I have spent about 4 (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Old idea or new idea?

While pondering the merits of various schemes for adding more I/O to the RCX, and having already built a few different schemes myself just to be able to test drive them, I was struck by the interesting possiblity of seriously extending the RCX my (...) (25 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)
